○ Legal advice when choosing the most appropriate form for carrying out the specific business activity in Bulgaria (choice between the different types of commercial companies, a branch and a commercial representative office), assistance in establishing an organisational structure in the relevant legal form, preparation of the incorporation documents and all other related documents.
○ Consultations regarding the purchase and disposal of immovable property in the Republic of Bulgaria by foreign citizens – natural persons or foreign companies. In case you are a foreign national and wish to settle in Bulgaria, you should bear the following in mind:
You have the right to stay in the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria for up to 90 days in each period of 180 days, i.e. for every 6-month period, you may stay in the Republic of Bulgaria, after which you are obliged to leave the territory of the country in order to comply with the legislation.
In case you originate from a country which is not a Member State of the EU, you may apply for a long-term or permanent residence permit. The difference between the two comes down to the requirement that you must have lived in the territory of the country for 5 years in order to be entitled to apply for permanent residence.
In case you are a citizen of Ukraine, you have the right to benefit from the facilitated conditions for visa-free stay in the territory of Bulgaria for a period of 90 days in each 180-day period. This is due to a concluded visa liberalisation agreement. You must hold a passport containing your biometric data in order to benefit from this facilitation. As regards long-term and permanent residence, Ukrainian citizens are required to hold a Type “D” visa. It gives the right to multiple entries into the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the application for it is submitted to the diplomatic and consular representations of Bulgaria at the applicant’s permanent place of residence or to representations accredited by the state and located in neighbouring countries. The period for receiving a response concerning the issuance of the visa is between 30 and 40 days. However, further requirements expressly listed by the legislature must also be met.
