From unlawful collection and distribution of personal data to attacks on digital identity and property, modern cyberattacks cover a broad range of offenses that breach both national and international law.<\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"3545\" data-end=\"3723\">\n<li data-start=\"3545\" data-end=\"3723\">\n<p data-start=\"3548\" data-end=\"3723\"><strong data-start=\"3548\" data-end=\"3585\">Violation of the right to privacy<\/strong><br data-start=\"3585\" data-end=\"3588\" \/>Unlawful collection, processing, and distribution of personal data (names, ID numbers, addresses, financial and health data) violate:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul data-start=\"3724\" data-end=\"3820\">\n<li data-start=\"3724\" data-end=\"3766\">\n<p data-start=\"3726\" data-end=\"3766\">Art. 32 of the Bulgarian Constitution;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3767\" data-end=\"3783\">\n<p data-start=\"3769\" data-end=\"3783\">Art. 8 ECHR;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3784\" data-end=\"3820\">\n<p data-start=\"3786\" data-end=\"3820\">Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 (GDPR).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3822\" data-end=\"3921\">Relevant examples include phishing, identity theft, and unauthorized access to personal accounts.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\" data-start=\"3923\" data-end=\"4081\">\n<li data-start=\"3923\" data-end=\"4081\">\n<p data-start=\"3926\" data-end=\"4081\"><strong data-start=\"3926\" data-end=\"3967\">Infringement of the right to property<\/strong><br data-start=\"3967\" data-end=\"3970\" \/>Cyberattacks involving bank account draining, transfer of crypto-assets, or fraud via fake merchants violate:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul data-start=\"4082\" data-end=\"4222\">\n<li data-start=\"4082\" data-end=\"4134\">\n<p data-start=\"4084\" data-end=\"4134\">Art. 17 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4135\" data-end=\"4164\">\n<p data-start=\"4137\" data-end=\"4164\">Arts. 209 ff. CC (fraud);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4165\" data-end=\"4222\">\n<p data-start=\"4167\" data-end=\"4222\">Art. 212a CC (document fraud using digital identity).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\" data-start=\"4224\" data-end=\"4353\">\n<li data-start=\"4224\" data-end=\"4353\">\n<p data-start=\"4227\" data-end=\"4353\"><strong data-start=\"4227\" data-end=\"4274\">Violation of dignity and personal integrity<\/strong><br data-start=\"4274\" data-end=\"4277\" \/>Sharing intimate images or videos without consent constitutes a breach of:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul data-start=\"4354\" data-end=\"4505\">\n<li data-start=\"4354\" data-end=\"4379\">\n<p data-start=\"4356\" data-end=\"4379\">Art. 32 Constitution;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4380\" data-end=\"4441\">\n<p data-start=\"4382\" data-end=\"4441\">Criminal Code provisions on defamation, threats, insults;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4442\" data-end=\"4505\">\n<p data-start=\"4444\" data-end=\"4505\">Domestic Violence Protection Act in cases of cyberstalking.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\" data-start=\"4507\" data-end=\"4628\">\n<li data-start=\"4507\" data-end=\"4628\">\n<p data-start=\"4510\" data-end=\"4628\"><strong data-start=\"4510\" data-end=\"4571\">Restriction of freedom of expression and digital identity<\/strong><br data-start=\"4571\" data-end=\"4574\" \/>Hacking accounts and posting as the victim violates:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul data-start=\"4629\" data-end=\"4724\">\n<li data-start=\"4629\" data-end=\"4654\">\n<p data-start=\"4631\" data-end=\"4654\">Art. 39 Constitution;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4655\" data-end=\"4672\">\n<p data-start=\"4657\" data-end=\"4672\">Art. 10 ECHR;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4673\" data-end=\"4724\">\n<p data-start=\"4675\" data-end=\"4724\">Computer crime provisions (Arts. 319a\u2013319d CC).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"5\" data-start=\"4726\" data-end=\"4847\">\n<li data-start=\"4726\" data-end=\"4847\">\n<p data-start=\"4729\" data-end=\"4847\"><strong data-start=\"4729\" data-end=\"4776\">Data security breaches (ransomware attacks)<\/strong><br data-start=\"4776\" data-end=\"4779\" \/>Encrypting personal data and demanding ransom for access violates:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul data-start=\"4848\" data-end=\"4899\">\n<li data-start=\"4848\" data-end=\"4871\">\n<p data-start=\"4850\" data-end=\"4871\">Art. 17 EU Charter;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4872\" data-end=\"4899\">\n<p data-start=\"4874\" data-end=\"4899\">Arts. 319b and 319c CC.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"4901\" data-end=\"5206\"><strong data-start=\"4901\" data-end=\"4916\">Conclusion:<\/strong><br data-start=\"4916\" data-end=\"4919\" \/>Cyberattacks are not only technological but also legal challenges with multilayered implications.
